“Do I have to change my till to comply with Verifactu?”

It depends on what you use today. The quickest test is to look at your last receipt: if there is no QR code, your till is not ready. Old cash registers, spreadsheets, handwritten tickets and a card terminal used on its own do not comply.

If you use till software, ask your supplier, in writing, for their Verifactu declaración responsable. If they have not answered by the end of October, plan for a change. The planned dates are 1 January 2027 for companies and 1 July 2027 for autónomos.

Also make sure your business has a digital certificate, or that your gestor holds one. This answer is advisory; confirm your case with your gestor or request a free visit.
